My name is Michael P. Richard. I am a second generation sign artist specializing in Truck & Vehicle lettering. I went to Butera School of Art in Boston, MA, where I graduated from a 2 year course of study in sign painting in 1989. It is no mystery why I went to this school since my father, Philip Richard, also graduated from that same school back in 1954. My Dad is the original founder of Truck Lettering, Etc. of Pembroke, MA. In 1985 he added a garage to our home and went on his own after working in the trade for many years. I learned a lot about the trade from him growing up, and when we worked together, even before I went to sign school.
After graduating from Butera, I worked with my Dad for several years. I then worked for another sign company before going on my own in 1998 and establishing Michael P. Richard Truck Lettering, Etc. in Plymouth, MA. I decided to keep "Truck Lettering, Etc." as part of my own company name since my Dad and I still worked together on jobs when he needed an extra hand. It's been many years since then and in 2006 my Dad retired. I am glad to be able to keep the name alive, servicing not only my own clients but my Dad's as well.
Since I am based in Manomet I have
lettered trucks for many local business in the Plymouth area, but I
also travel to surrounding towns. If you look in my photo gallery,
